didFailToReceiveAdWithError no funciona para los simuladores de iOS 8

Mi mediación iAd / AdMob funciona bien con todos los simuladores y dispositivos iOS 7. Sin embargo, el método iOS 8 didFailToReceiveAdWithError no funciona para ningún simulador, pero funciona para dispositivos iOS 8. El problema es que no tengo un dispositivo iPhone 6/6 + para probar. Así que estoy contando con el simulador iOS 8.

Ni siquiera sé si las coordenadas didFailToReceive son correctas ya que no tengo forma de probarlas. No entiendo por qué didFailToReceiveAdWithError nunca se llama para los simuladores iOS 8 solamente? ¿Es esto un error del simulador de iOS 8 o hay algo que pueda hacer para solucionar este problema?
